Canva was founded in Perth in 2012 and is headquartered in Sydney. Its terms of use name Canva Pty Ltd as the contracting entity for customers billed anywhere outside the United States and the United Kingdom, so European users contract with the Australian company. It has acquired Serif, the British maker of Affinity, and the Austrian stock service Pixabay, among others.
