Contentful

Contentful is a headless content management system founded in Berlin in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco as a US-incorporated company. It stores structured content in a backend and delivers it through APIs to websites, apps, and other channels, decoupling content from presentation. In June 2026 Salesforce announced a definitive agreement to acquire Contentful, moving the platform under US ownership. It remains the reference incumbent for the headless-CMS category, used by thousands of brands for omnichannel content.
