OpenProject GmbH is a Berlin software company behind the open-source project management application of the same name. The imprint gives Krausenstrasse 9, 10117 Berlin, Amtsgericht Charlottenburg HRB 117935 B, VAT DE211309779, with Niels Lindenthal as managing director.

The binding Terms of Service name the GmbH as the contracting party and place the agreement under German law, with exclusive jurisdiction at the company’s registered office. OpenProject North America, Inc. exists as a subsidiary address only — the German company is the parent, not the other way round. Hosted customers’ data stays in German data centres.

The company sells an Enterprise edition on top of a GPL-licensed Community edition, and OpenProject is one of the components of openDesk, the sovereign workplace suite assembled for the German public sector. German GmbH financials are not publicly filed, so headcount and revenue are self-reported.
