Tilde is a Latvian language-technology company founded 1991 and headquartered in Riga. It builds machine translation, speech, and language-AI tools with particular strength on Baltic and Eastern-European language pairs.

Co-founder Andrejs Vasiļjevs remains on the board. In 2025 Tilde won the EU’s Large AI Grand Challenge and trained the open-source TildeOpen LLM on the LUMI supercomputer (Finland).
