cidaas

cidaas is a customer identity and access management suite aimed at European enterprises. It covers OAuth 2.0, certified OIDC, SAML 2.0 in both identity-provider and service-provider roles, FAPI 2.0 and CIBA for regulated finance, passkeys and FIDO2, and adaptive multi-factor authentication across email, SMS, TOTP, push, and biometrics.

Beyond sign-in it ships progressive profiling, identity de-duplication, role-based access control with delegated administration, white-label hosted pages, inbound SCIM, and Active Directory and LDAP federation. GDPR consent management with a full audit trail is first-class rather than bolted on, and the suite extends to machine-to-machine and IoT device identity.

The service is closed source and sales-led, hosted on Deutsche Telekom’s Open Telekom Cloud in German data centres and certified to ISO 27001. Customers include Kaufland, ProSiebenSat.1, Conrad, and HORNBACH.

cidaas is the identity platform of Widas ID GmbH in Wimsheim, registered at the Mannheim district court under HRB 731110. It is part of the family-owned Widas group that Thomas Widmann founded as WidasConcepts in 1997; his children Sadrick Widmann and Yael Pahl are the managing directors.

The product launched in 2016 out of a customer project. The company takes no venture funding and has no parent outside the family, which makes its ownership unusually clean. The service runs on Deutsche Telekom’s Open Telekom Cloud in German data centres, with a separate Swiss location.
