Magnific

Magnific is the AI creative platform that Freepik Company runs from Málaga, renamed from Freepik in 2026. It generates images, video and audio from text prompts, with style references, trained characters and objects for consistency, a node-based canvas called Spaces, conversational editing, and its own Magnific upscalers. An API, an MCP connector and a ComfyUI plugin cover programmatic use, and a stock library of more than 250 million assets sits alongside the generators. The free tier allows 20 images a day without a card. The underlying image and video models are mostly licensed from American and Chinese labs, with Black Forest Labs’ FLUX the European exception and Magnific’s own precision and upscaling models built in Spain.

The binding terms name Freepik Company, S.L., tax number B-93183366, registered in the Commercial Registry of Málaga and based at 13 Molina Lario St., under Spanish law with the courts of Málaga as the sole jurisdiction. The Swedish EQT group has held a majority since 2020 alongside founder and chief executive Joaquín Cuenca — European private equity rather than a US buyout. The same company also runs Flaticon, Slidesgo and Storyset.
