Veriff is the identity-verification product of Tallinn-based Veriff, used by global fintechs, marketplaces, and mobility platforms to verify government documents from ~230 countries, run biometric face matching, and run business-identity (KYB) checks via the post-Vespia stack. Hosted in the EU with optional regional residency; SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR coverage built in.
About Veriff
Veriff is an Estonian identity-verification scale-up founded in 2015 by Kaarel Kotkas (still CEO) and Janer Gorohhov, headquartered in Tallinn. Around $193M raised across ~7 rounds; no PE buyout or US-parent acquisition. Founded as Estonia’s ninth unicorn; in February 2026 acquired Vespia to expand into business-identity verification (KYB) on top of its core video-AI document and biometric stack.
