European alternatives to Apple Music

Apple Music is Apple’s subscription music service, launched in 2015. It streams a catalogue of more than 100 million tracks without ads, with offline downloads, lyrics, and lossless audio and Dolby Atmos spatial audio included at no extra cost. It runs on Apple devices and also on Android, Windows and the web.

In France an individual plan costs EUR 11.99 a month and a family plan EUR 19.99, with the first month free for new subscribers. Apple’s French page lists no free, ad-supported tier.

Apple presented a new look for the service on 21 October 2026: the app icon turns from red to black and white with iOS 27.2, beside a new lowercase wordmark and a sound logo by Fred again.. The pull to stay is the integration with Siri, HomePod and the Apple Watch, and a library and playlists built up over years.
