European alternatives to Google Slides

Google Slides is the presentation app in Google Workspace: themes and master layouts, speaker notes, co-editing with comments, and a published link that always serves the current version rather than an emailed attachment that is immediately out of date.

Decks are the easiest Workspace artefact to export and the hardest to export faithfully. PPTX round-trips carry the slides but routinely break custom fonts, master-layout inheritance and animations, and they flatten any chart linked live to a Google Sheet into a static image. The habit is stickier than the file: teams rely on the “anyone with the link can view” share, on embedding a deck in a site or a Doc, and on presenter view working from any machine without installing anything.

Google Slides is part of Google Workspace, from Google LLC in Mountain View. Note that the European alternatives below are not like-for-like clones — they take presentations in a different direction, one toward design-led collaborative decks and the other toward live audience interaction.
