Adyen N.V. is a Dutch payments company headquartered in Amsterdam, founded in 2006 by Pieter van der Does and Arnout Schuijff. It is listed on Euronext Amsterdam (ADYEN.AS), independently controlled, with no US or non-European parent.

Adyen holds a Dutch acquiring bank license and operates as a single global platform across cards, local payment methods, point-of-sale, and embedded finance. It serves large enterprises (Spotify, Microsoft, Uber, Meta, eBay) and increasingly mid-market merchants across 23 countries with 4,300+ employees.
