Broadcom Inc. is a US semiconductor and infrastructure software company headquartered in Palo Alto, California, and listed on Nasdaq. Alongside its chip business it owns CA Technologies, Symantec’s enterprise security division and, since November 2023, VMware. Broadcom completed the VMware acquisition on 22 November 2023 in a cash-and-stock deal valued at roughly 61 billion dollars, and restructured the product line within weeks.
