cidaas

cidaas is the identity platform of Widas ID GmbH in Wimsheim, registered at the Mannheim district court under HRB 731110. It is part of the family-owned Widas group that Thomas Widmann founded as WidasConcepts in 1997; his children Sadrick Widmann and Yael Pahl are the managing directors.

The product launched in 2016 out of a customer project. The company takes no venture funding and has no parent outside the family, which makes its ownership unusually clean. The service runs on Deutsche Telekom’s Open Telekom Cloud in German data centres, with a separate Swiss location.
