Happy Scribe Limited is a private company limited by shares incorporated in Ireland, company number 604917, registered at The Black Church, Saint Mary’s Place North, Dublin 7, and trading since May 2017. Its binding Terms & Conditions name that entity and state plainly that “These Terms & Conditions are governed by Irish law”, with the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts for business customers. No US entity appears anywhere in the document.

Ownership is unusually simple for a company of its size: it took no outside funding and remains founder-run by André Bastié and Marc Assens Reina, with the Irish register recording four shareholders and no corporate parent. The engineering and operations team works from Barcelona, but the legal entity is Irish, not Spanish.

The product spans AI transcription and subtitling in over 150 languages, a meeting notetaker that joins calls from a connected calendar, and an optional human transcription service billed per minute. Processing is EU-hosted and GDPR-aligned.
