Image Line nv is a Belgian company registered at Franklin Rooseveltlaan 348/D in Ghent under enterprise number BE 0452.440.860, trading since 1994. Its terms name the Belgian entity and are governed exclusively by Belgian law, with claims brought before the courts of Ghent.
Waterland Private Equity, a Dutch firm, took a majority stake in February 2019. In April 2026 the fund’s Belgian holding vehicle was absorbed into Image Line Group BV, the Ghent company that now acts as director of the operating entity — a group reorganisation rather than an exit. Control therefore sits with Dutch and Luxembourg fund vehicles, which keeps the chain inside Europe.
The business is profitable and growing: revenue of EUR 46.7 million in FY2025, up 18.1 per cent on the year before. Its one product line is FL Studio, sold in four perpetual editions with lifetime free updates.
