PayPal Holdings, Inc. is a US payments company headquartered in San Jose, California and listed on Nasdaq as PYPL. It was spun out of eBay on 18 July 2015 and relisted on 20 July 2015.

Its European business contracts through PayPal (Europe) S.a r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., a Luxembourg-licensed bank supervised by the CSSF since 2008 — a European entity under a US parent, so the group is out of scope for this site.

Leadership changed in 2026: Alex Chriss stepped down as President and CEO on 2 February 2026 after two and a half years, and Enrique Lores became President and CEO effective 1 March 2026, having chaired the board since July 2024 and previously run HP Inc.
