Aegis Authenticator
Authenticator Apps Netherlands
Open-source Android 2FA app with an encrypted vault and backups Alternative to Google Authenticator.
Details
Aegis Authenticator is a free, open-source (GPL-3.0) app for two-step sign-in codes on Android, made by Beem Development in Dordrecht. It supports TOTP and HOTP, and keeps every code in a vault encrypted with AES-256-GCM that opens with a password or biometrics.
It imports from Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, 2FAS, FreeOTP and several other apps, exports in plain or encrypted form, and can back up the vault automatically to a location the user chooses. It has more than a million Google Play installs and is funded by donations.
It runs on Android only, with no iOS or desktop app, and has no cloud sync of its own; moving codes between devices goes through those backup files.
