Magnific Designer

Magnific Designer is the design editor inside Magnific, the Málaga company formerly known as Freepik. It is a multi-page canvas with layers, typography, effects and blend modes, where each export format lives as its own page in one project. It imports PSD, PDF, InDesign and HTML files, and its AI tools read the whole design and act only on the selection — background removal and automatic layer separation among them. Export is PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF at a chosen DPI.

Behind it sits the stock library the company is known for: more than 250 million photos, vectors, icons, templates and fonts, which is larger than the incumbent’s. The template taxonomy covers nearly the same ground — invoices, infographics, logos, business cards, brochures, posters, flyers, menus, labels, stickers, social posts and stories, thumbnails, invitations, calendars, certificates, resumes and mood boards.

Pricing is self-serve at 16, 36 and 88 euro a month, with annual rates of 12, 27 and 66. Free use carries author attribution and daily download limits. There is no print fulfilment service and no presentation mode.

Magnific is the AI creative platform that Freepik Company S.L.U. rebranded to in 2026; freepik.com now redirects to magnific.com and the pricing-page footer still reads “Freepik Company S.L.U.”. The binding terms of use, dated June 2026, name the operator as Magnific AI, S.L.U., tax number B-93183366, registered in the Commercial Registry of Málaga and based at 13 Molina Lario Street, under Spanish law with the courts of Málaga as the sole jurisdiction. Both entities are Spanish, so the earlier verdict is unchanged, but the contracting name moved.

The Swedish EQT group has held a majority since 2020 alongside founder and chief executive Joaquín Cuenca — European private equity rather than a US buyout. The same company also runs Flaticon, Slidesgo and Storyset, and absorbed Wepik, whose domain now redirects into Magnific’s template library.
