Pennylane
Accounting France
Cloud accounting for SMEs and the accountants who advise them. Alternative to QuickBooks.
Details
Pennylane is Pennylane SAS’s flagship cloud accounting product, used by ~90,000 SMBs and 4,000 accounting firms primarily across France, Germany, and Italy. It combines bookkeeping, bank-feed reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, expense management, and reporting in one workspace, with a parallel portal for accountants to review and post entries.
The product is built for the French and continental tax-and-FEC stack — VAT declarations, FEC export, e-invoicing, and the upcoming PA mandates — and pairs with a network of partner accounting firms. The €175M TCV/Blackstone Series E in January 2026 funded an expanded AI assistant and faster expansion into the German and Italian SME markets.
