Simple Analytics
Web Analytics Netherlands
Bootstrapped Dutch web analytics with no cookies or personal data. Alternative to Google Analytics.
Details
Simple Analytics is a privacy-first web analytics product from Amsterdam, bootstrapped and fully founder-owned. It uses no cookies, collects no personal data, and does no fingerprinting, so it works without a consent banner and stores data on EU servers (Leaseweb, NL). A lightweight script captures page views, referrers, UTM campaigns, events, and goals, with an AI-assisted natural-language query layer, public dashboards, and email/CSV exports. Trade-offs versus Google Analytics 4 are shallower funnels, segmentation, and ad-attribution depth, in exchange for GDPR-by-design simplicity.
About Simple Analytics
Simple Analytics B.V. is registered in Amsterdam under Chamber of Commerce number 60978856, and its general terms name that entity as the contracting party. Article 13 puts the agreement under Dutch law, seats disputes in the district where the company is established, and makes the Dutch text authoritative over the English translation. Adriaan van Rossum built the product and launched it in early 2019; Iron Brands joined as co-founder in 2022.
The company has taken no outside investment and describes itself as independent and self-funded. It runs with a team of three. Pricing starts at a free tier capped at five sites and one month of history, with a self-serve plan from EUR 20 a month and an enterprise tier quoted on request.
Measurement data is written to servers in the Netherlands owned by Worldstream and Leaseweb, both Dutch companies, and delivered through Bunny CDN, operated by BunnyWay in Slovenia. Simple Analytics collects no cookies, no personal data and no device fingerprints, so a site running it needs no consent banner, and the company states that visitor data never leaves the Netherlands. Named customers include the Bank of England, GOV.UK, Bloomberg, Michelin and Hyundai.
