Clever Cloud
Platform as a Service France
French PaaS that deploys apps from Git and runs managed add-ons Alternative to Heroku.
Details
Clever Cloud deploys an application by pushing to a Git remote. It detects the runtime automatically across eighteen stacks, among them Node.js, PHP and FrankenPHP, Python, Ruby, Java, Go, .NET, Elixir, Rust, Scala, Haskell, Docker and static sites, so no Dockerfile or configuration file is required. Applications run in scalers that scale horizontally between a configured minimum and maximum, and a CLI and public API cover the rest.
Managed services cover PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra and Pulsar, plus Cellar object storage and the company’s own Materia key-value and time-series stores. A marketplace adds third-party services including Keycloak, Metabase, Grist and Otoroshi. Compute bills by the second from roughly EUR 4.60 a month for the smallest scaler, across zones in Paris, Roubaix, Gravelines, Warsaw and London.
About Clever Cloud

The company is revenue-funded rather than venture-backed and runs its own Paris datacenter alongside capacity from other European providers. It holds ISO 27001, the French HDS certification for health-data hosting, and operates a SecNumCloud-track offering, with on-premises and air-gapped editions for customers who cannot use a public platform.
