Enclave
Mesh VPN United Kingdom
British mesh overlay network with SSO, policies and private DNS. Alternative to Tailscale.
Details
Enclave builds a private overlay network between enrolled systems. Peers connect directly through NAT traversal, with relays as a fallback, using Enclave’s own encrypted protocol (Curve25519 keys, AES-256-GCM or ChaCha20-Poly1305), not WireGuard. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Access is set by tag-based policies, which can require sign-in through Google, Microsoft Entra, Okta, JumpCloud, Duo or another OIDC provider. Systems get private DNS names, and Enclave Gateways route traffic to subnets or out to the internet.
It is priced per enrolled system, at USD 8 a month or USD 7.33 billed yearly. It is free for personal, non-commercial use on up to 5 systems. There is no self-hosted edition, and the platform runs in Microsoft Azure’s UK South region in London. The company behind it averaged three employees in its last accounts.
