LINK Mobility SMS API
Programmable Messaging Norway
SMS, RCS, and WhatsApp messaging over direct European carrier links. Alternative to Twilio Messaging.
Details
LINK Mobility’s messaging platform sends SMS, RCS, WhatsApp and other over-the-top messages through a REST API, a web portal, or direct integrations. Its General Terms define a “Message” as exactly that set of channels, and the company holds its own operator interconnects across roughly 30 European markets rather than routing through aggregators — which is the reason deliverability in Europe holds up against Twilio’s.
The difference a developer feels first is the commercial model. LINK publishes no price list, and there is no self-serve signup: its own terms date the agreement from “the date of the last signature”, so onboarding runs through a signed service order with a salesperson. That suits a company sending at volume on a negotiated rate and rules it out for someone who wants to send a test message this afternoon.
The product surface is also narrower than Twilio’s. The channel list is messaging-first, with a far thinner voice and verification offering, and no equivalent to Twilio’s Verify API as a standalone product.
About LINK Mobility
LINK Mobility Group Holding ASA (Norwegian org. nr. 920901336, Oslo) is a mobile-messaging provider listed on Oslo Børs, operating in around 30 countries. The Norwegian Business Register records it as the group apex — its “part of a group” flag is false, meaning no holding company sits above it.
The entity carries a past worth stating plainly: until October 2020 it was registered as Victory Partners VIII Norway Holding AS, the vehicle of the US private-equity firm Abry Partners, and was renamed at the Oslo listing. Abry no longer appears in the top-20 shareholder register, which is now a Norwegian free float with no holder above 10% — ODIN Norge, Sundt AS and the Norwegian state’s Folketrygdfondet are among the largest. Its US operation is incorporated in Norway as LINK Mobility USA AS.
The General Terms and Conditions set governing law as that of the country of LINK’s registered office, with venue in the same country, and name no US entity anywhere in the document.
