Trengo

Trengo puts email, WhatsApp, a website live-chat widget, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, SMS and voice into one shared team inbox, with routing and assignment rules, a customer help centre, broadcast campaigns and an AI agent called HelpMate. Plans are bundled rather than sold per seat: Boost at EUR 299 a month on annual billing includes 10 users and a yearly conversation allowance, Pro at EUR 499 includes 20, and AI conversations are billed on top. There is a 7-day trial and no free tier. Data is hosted on AWS in Frankfurt; the AI features use OpenAI as a sub-processor.

Trengo B.V. is a Utrecht software company founded in 2017 by Patrick Meutzner, Marcel van de Weerd and Igo Trampe, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under 72043687. Its terms name Trengo B.V. as the contracting party and are governed exclusively by Dutch law, and no other Trengo entity appears in its terms, privacy statement or footer. It is backed by the Dutch investor Peak Capital and by Insight Partners of New York, which led a USD 36 million Series A in 2021; the cap table is not public, so whether the founders kept a majority after that round is not documented. Its 2025 accounts report 78 full-time staff, and the company says it serves more than 1,500 customers.
