VEED

Video Editing United Kingdom

Browser video editor with auto-subtitles, templates and brand kits. Alternative to CapCut.

Details

VEED is a video editor that runs entirely in the browser, built by Veed Limited in London. It covers timeline editing, automatic subtitling and translation, templates, screen recording and brand kits, and keeps projects in shared team workspaces rather than on a local disk, so work opens from any machine without an install.

Pricing is per seat and billed per editor invited to the workspace. Creator is EUR 11 a month billed yearly, Pro EUR 23 and Studio EUR 37, with custom pricing above that. The free tier watermarks every export, and the company says so plainly: the watermark appears on videos created on the free plan and the only way to remove it is a paid plan.

That is the trade-off against a free editor. VEED’s advantage is that nothing is installed, subtitling and translation are strong, and the whole account sits under a UK company governed by English law.

About VEED

Veed Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under number 11264311, at 17-18 Clere Street, Shoreditch, London, incorporated in March 2018. Its terms of use name the UK entity and are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the courts of England and Wales holding exclusive jurisdiction; the words Delaware, New York and California appear nowhere in the document.

Ownership is unusually clean for a venture-backed company. The Companies House register of persons with significant control lists two natural persons — the founders Sabba Benjamin Keynejad and Timur Mamedov, each in the 25-50 per cent band — and no corporate PSC at all, so the roughly USD 35 million raised in a Sequoia-led round put no investor above the threshold and there is no holding company above the UK entity.
