Adobe

Adobe Inc. (Nasdaq: ADBE) is a Delaware corporation headquartered in San Jose, California, founded in 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke. It created PostScript and, in 1992, the Portable Document Format — PDF was an Adobe proprietary format until it was published as the open ISO 32000 standard in 2008.

Acrobat remains the reference implementation of that format. Alongside it Adobe sells Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and the rest of Creative Cloud, plus Experience Cloud for marketing and analytics.
