Taiga
Project Management Spain
Open-source agile tracker with scrum boards, sprints and backlogs. Alternative to Jira.
Details
Taiga is an open-source agile project management tool with scrum and kanban boards, sprints, backlogs, epics, issues and a wiki. It is published and hosted by Taiga Cloud Services, S.L. in Vigo, which took the product over from Kaleidos in March 2024; the code is MPL-2.0 at github.com/taigaio and can be self-hosted.
Webhooks from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Gogs link commits to work items: a commit message carrying a tg- reference posts a linked comment on the story and can change its status. Pull requests cannot be linked, which is the half of Jira’s development panel that stays missing.
Permissions are granular — 34 member permissions assignable to custom per-project roles, plus a separate anonymous-access list — so it covers the roles-and-permissions capability Jira charges for, and the anonymous collaboration too.
There is no automation, no time tracking, no Gantt chart and no query language. All plans allow unlimited users at a flat price: free (1 public and 1 private project, 10 MB), Enthusiast €5/mo, Basic €20/mo, Premium €60/mo. The 10 MB free tier is a demo rather than a workspace.
